With the UK officially easing lockdown from covid-19 measures, it can be tempting to assume that life is slowly returning to normal. The reality, however, is very different, as the pandemic continues to shape how we live and work, with some partly furloughed, and others juggling work with childcare as schools struggle to re-open.

At NADclinic, we’re committed to optimising human health and performance through our IV drip therapy and injections of key vitamins, minerals and, of course, the NAD+ energy-optimising molecule. Coronavirus may be here to stay for now, but that doesn’t mean you can’t embrace a different way of working – with our alternative therapies to boost your body, mind and soul along the way. In this post, we’ll share our top tips for beating work stress through the pandemic and beyond.

1.Work remotely

For the first time, businesses across the globe have been forced to make a decision between trusting staff to work from home, or face shutting down their workforce entirely. The typical 9-5 of the corporate world forces you to contend with rush-hour traffic, inflexible deadlines and shared workspaces. Thanks to the pandemic, remote working has become the new normal, and this does away with many of these concerns faced by those in executive roles. Making the move from office building to home office means you may be able to flex your hours around other commitments, avoid the commute and feel confident that although you’re physically isolated, you can connect with colleagues over video-link, apps and social channels.

2.Anticipate change

As a concept, ‘change’ gets a negative rep. But it’s possible to prepare for change – especially in situations like this, where countries constantly look at each other’s practices to gauge the steps they themselves need to take. Whether it’s kitting out your work desk with sanitiser and facemasks, or freeing up a room in the house for future remote working, looking and thinking ahead can make transitions smoother and easier when they’re forced to happen.

3.Stick to your routine

When working from home, it can feel impossible to switch off – especially if you work in the same place you relax. It’s also tempting to pick up client calls after-hours, or to log on to your email just because. However, when it comes to managing your mental health and stress levels, it’s important to have a proper ‘start’ and ‘end’ time in mind, and to keep to your schedule as much as is possible. If you’re finding it hard to build your routine back, read our blog here for some great tips.

4.Take time out for socialising

In recent weeks, changes to regulations have seen shops, pubs, pools and more slowly but surely re-open their doors, while many outdoor activities, together with visits to friends’ and family’s homes, are permitted once more. Now, there’s no reason to feel guilty for post-work cocktails or meeting a client for lunch – so instead of avoiding them, get involved.

5.Seek treatment

There are lots of situations that can help you recognise when your stress levels are getting out of control, for example:

  • Drink and drug use – you’re drinking, or using prescription medicines, in greater quantities and/or more often. You may have had a problem with this in the past, or it may be an entirely new situation for you. Our NAD+ Detox IV drip therapy can help, easing withdrawal symptoms along the way.
  • You’re constantly tired from travel – especially flying, and particularly when you cross different time zones. Our NAD+ Combat Jet Lag IV drip therapy helps reset sleep and energy while easing headaches.
  • You’re struggling to pick up the pace – as a CEO or high-ranking executive, you need to maintain your competitive edge. Our NAD+ Executive Plus IV drip therapy clears through the fog to optimise your brain – all while improving immunity.
