Lockdown fatigue is on the rise – how NAD+ IV therapy can help

What is lockdown fatigue?

In the UK, we’ve been in some sort of lockdown for a year now and it’s created something called lockdown fatigue. It’s something many of us have been experiencing, but what exactly is it? Well, it’s that feeling of being constantly tired and lethargic – both mentally and physically.

If you’ve been feeling tired, worn out but also restless, you’re probably suffering from lockdown fatigue.

This grogginess actually has a medical name, sleep inertia, and refers to a phase in between sleep and wakefulness when you don’t feel fully awake. You’re likely to feel drowsy and fatigued which leaves you struggling to complete everyday tasks.

What’s causing our lockdown fatigue?

Research has shown that it’s a combination of different factors that is causing this lockdown fatigue.

One issue is that sleep inertia can occur when our brains aren’t properly warmed up before we try and tackle something. But why aren’t our brains ready to kick into gear? Well, we might not be getting the right kind of sleep because of our body’s natural reaction to stress and change.

We recently wrote about why working from home can actually increase stress levels, but there’s also a lot of anxiety around coronavirus generally, and financial problems for many.

Studies done by King’s College London last year showed that following the first lockdown, 50% of those surveyed said their sleep had been poorer than usual, with 39% of people surveyed saying they slept fewer hours a night on average compared with before the lockdown.

Disturbed and reduced sleeping patterns could mean you’re not getting enough quality sleep to feel well rested.

Combating lockdown fatigue with NAD+ IV therapy

NAD+ IV therapy is an extremely effective way of combating lockdown fatigue. We know that NAD+ is an important molecule when it comes to energy levels but it can help with so much more than that.

Not only can NAD+ IV therapy help you feel more energised but it can actually help treat the symptoms that are making you feel tired and sluggish. For example, if stress and anxiety are stopping you from sleeping, NAD+ is amazing at reducing symptoms of stress and anxiety.

If you’re finding it hard to sleep or get a restful night’s sleep than NAD+ is a fantastic tool to help you sleep for longer, and get a better quality of sleep.

NAD+ is also an amazing tool to combat brain fog and improve concentration and mental clarity.

So everything that is interlinked with feeling sluggish, tired and unable to focus – NAD+ IV therapy can help with. If you’ve been struggling with lockdown fatigue then contact us at NADclinic.
