Exploring the link between hair loss and ageing, and transplant alternatives

As we age, many changes occur in our bodies. Hair loss is one of them. But why does this happen?

In this blog post, we’ll explore the link between hair loss and ageing, as well as some alternatives to hair transplant procedures. If you’re curious about why your hair is thinning or falling out as you get older, keep reading to learn more.

The link between hair loss and ageing

Hair loss is a natural part of the ageing process, as hair growth slows down and hair follicles shrink over time. As we age, the rate of hair growth decreases and the hair becomes thinner. This is due to a variety of factors, including:

  • Hormonal changes
  • Genetic predisposition
  • Environmental factors such as exposure to pollutants

While hair loss is a natural part of the ageing process, there are treatments and therapies available. These can help slow or reverse the effects of age-related hair loss.

Alternative hair loss treatments

At NADclinic, we provide an authentic alternative to traditional hair loss treatments that may not be right for you.

Hair loss can be a stressful experience. We can help by identifying the underlying cause of your hair loss. This can save you not only time but also money on ineffective treatments that may work for others but not for you.

Since each person’s hair is unique, we offer fully customised treatment plans with our hair loss services. This means we’re not only able to identify the root cause of your hair loss but also offer a personalised plan.

Hair services at NADclinic

At NADclinic, our Body & Hair management services are designed to help you reach your true potential. We understand that a good diet and regular exercise aren’t always enough, which is why our services are crucial.

Hair Analysis

Our hair analysis test examines the hair root and scalp to determine the underlying cause of hair loss. The process is non-invasive and painless. It involves the collection of a small hair sample which is sent to the laboratory for analysis. It examines:

  • Hair growth patterns
  • Hair follicle activity
  • Mineral deficiencies

Once the analysis is complete, we can provide you with a fully customised treatment plan around your concerns. Giving you the answers and solutions you need to achieve healthy, vibrant hair.

Hair Rejuvenation IV Programme

Whether you’re experiencing issues with hair loss due to age, stress, genetics, or hormones, our hair rejuvenation IV infusion can help.

We all want good hair health. That’s why our infusion programme contains a vitamin complex with essential nutrients including Zinc (which supports skin health), DNA synthesis, and protein production.

Our hair therapy includes NAC, a supplemented form of cysteine that replenishes levels of glutathione. Glutathione is an important antioxidant that neutralises free radicals, which can damage cells and tissues in the body. Additionally, we use biotin, a key ingredient known for maintaining the health of skin, hair, and nails.

Our vitamin-rich programme is designed to treat and prevent hair thinning, hair loss, and alopecia while restoring your hair. Our NAD+ Hair Rejuvenation Infusion Programme provides everything you need to strengthen and grow weak and thinning hair. We deliver vitamins B5 and B6, zinc, biotin, and N-acetyl-cysteine (NAC) in a series of infusions over a 14-day course. This consists of three infusions during the first week and two infusions during the second week.

If you’re looking to prevent hair thinning, fight hair loss and alopecia, or restore weak hair, this programme is for you.

PRP injection for hair loss

Our PRP injections offer an effective hair loss treatment that targets the source of hair loss for optimal results. They are designed to promote natural hair growth and thicken the hair shaft by improving blood flow to the hair follicle.

This three-step medical treatment involves drawing the patient’s blood, processing it, and then injecting it into the scalp. First, a special anaesthetic cream is used to desensitise the scalp in the areas to be treated. Then, the blood is drawn and separated into platelet-poor plasma, platelet-rich plasma, and red blood cells. The platelet-poor plasma is drawn into a syringe and injected into the scalp with peptides and proteins to accelerate hair growth.

The treatment is endogenous and takes a few weeks to months to achieve regenerative effects. We recommend repeating the treatment 2 -4 times every 3-6 weeks, for best results.
