Coronavirus: What is it & how to beat it

Coronavirus

The global pandemic of coronavirus (covid-19) has caused disruption around the world, with curfews, lockdowns and quarantines in place in multiple countries. In this post, we’ll share some background to this virus and our ideas on how you can help protect yourself from it.

Coronavirus explained

Coronavirus isn’t a standalone thing – it’s actually a group of viruses that cause disease in animals. The coronavirus covid-19 is just one type, and has made the jump to humans (the global pandemic can be traced to an animal market in China). While most cases just see mild, cold-like symptoms, The Telegraph reveals that, at time of writing, up to 20% of hospital cases have been classed as ‘’severe’’ and the death rate can be as high as 3.4%. Those who are older and with underlying concerns such as cancer, chronic respiratory disease and diabetes are more at risk.

Covid-19 symptoms and risks

It’s thought that the main way this coronavirus is transmitted is through droplets from coughs and sneezes, which can be picked up from surfaces and enter through the mouth, nose or eyes. Scientists haven’t yet determined if covid-19 is airborne. Symptoms usually begin mildly and gradually worsen, with dry cough, temperature, lethargy and shortness of breath common.

Ways to stay protected

There are 3 main ways you can help protect yourself from the global pandemic of covid-19 coronavirus:

  • Keeping isolated – research suggests that keeping yourself isolated can help prevent the spread of this coronavirus – especially because some people don’t show symptoms and don’t know they have the infection.
  • Hand-washing – another way is through regular hand-washing, for at least 20 seconds at a time. Using hand sanitiser can also help.
  • Boosting your immunity – from taking the right vitamins and minerals to combatting stress and getting adequate sleep, there’s lots of ways to help boost your immunity. Read our immunity blog here for more on this topic.

The NADclinic immune system boosters

Our approach is to be proactive, and help keep your immune system fighting fit so that it can combat any health threats – be they coronaviruses like covid-19, or something else, such as bacteria, fungi or toxins.

At NADclinic, our immune system booster therapies – a series of immunity IV drips and complementary therapies – are powered by NAD+, a molecule found in every cell of the body. Through age and lifestyle, levels of NAD+ in our bodies drop – which can affect cell regeneration & energy production, ageing, concentration & focus, and more. In turn, some of these aspects could negatively affect your immune system.

Here are the immunity IV drips and other therapies we recommend:

NAD+ Super Vitamin Immune Booster IV Infusion

  • Increase physical energy and ability
  • Improve mental wellbeing
  • Help protect against seasonal viruses

NAD+ High-Dose Vitamin C IV Infusion Program

  • Reduce tiredness and fatigue
  • Reduce oxidative stress
  • Enhance nervous system functionality

NAD+ Glutathione Push Injection

  • Detox cells
  • Slow down ageing
  • Boost sleep, focus and clarity

NAD+ Anti-Fatigue IV Infusion

  • Increase energy
  • Enhance memory function
  • Improve both sleep quality and cognitive function
