Can NAD+ be taken orally?

NAD+ is a powerful coenzyme that plays a vital role in our overall health and wellbeing. It’s a naturally occurring molecule that we all have but as we get older, our levels decline which starts to cause a wealth of age-related diseases and illness.

However, NAD+ supplementation provides many health and therapeutic benefits, promoting everything from anti-ageing properties and cellular regeneration, to improved immune system function. One of the most effective ways to increase your NAD+ levels is through IV therapy but we often get asked whether it’s safe to take NAD+ orally. The answer is of course yes, and there are even many instances where this type of administration might actually be preferred over an IV drip.

Benefits of oral NAD+ supplements

Less expensive

Opting for oral NAD+ supplements is a more cost-effective option as they are less expensive than IV infusions. We also have a monthly and annual subscribe and save option on our NAD+ supplements to save you even more money.

More convenient

Booking in for an IV can be time consuming and you can’t always fit it into your schedule (although at NADclinic we do make it as convenient for you as possible with our concierge service and our express infusions). But with NAD+ oral supplements you can get your daily dose of NAD+ quickly and conveniently, and wherever you are. If you’re a frequent traveller or have an incredibly busy schedule, oral supplements are the simplest and easiest solution.

Less invasive

NAD+ supplements are less invasive than NAD+ infusions which many people may prefer. For example, some people who are uncomfortable with intravenous therapy or have a phobia of needles may prefer long-term use of dietary supplements rather than IV therapy.

Great accompaniment to IV therapy

Many people use NAD+ supplements as an addition to their IV therapy. NAD+ infusions are generally more effective than taking oral supplements as they flush NAD+ directly into your bloodstream and some absorption by the gut can be lost. However, oral supplements are great for keeping NAD+ levels topped up in between infusions to ensure you feel your best all year round.
