World menopause day: How NAD+ therapy can help

World Menopause Day was founded to raise awareness around the subject, and to provide women with any support they might need. Every woman experiences menopause in a different way but for any woman going through this change, it can be extremely difficult at times due to the array of symptoms associated with menopause and peri-menopause.

Symptoms of menopause

Every woman who experiences menopause can have slightly different symptoms and they may not have everything on the list. But menopause symptoms can include:

  • Difficulty sleeping and night sweats
  • Irregular periods
  • Dry vaginal membranes
  • Chills and/or hot flashes
  • Moodiness
  • Dry skin and changes in hair texture/thickness
  • Less energy and slower metabolism
  • Weight gain in breasts and abdomen

And these inconvenient symptoms can last for at least 5 years, but it doesn’t end there. Because menopause is intrinsically linked to hormonal changes, there are other side effects to consider. A reduction in estrogen and progesterone is what you see in women who are going through menopause and this can have some unwanted side effects, including:

  • Higher risk of metabolic and heart disease
  • Increased risk of cognitive decline and memory loss
  • Loss of skin elasticity, leading to wrinkles
  • More brittle bones
  • Reduced energy and stamina

This is why more and more women are turning to IV therapy to help tackle these symptoms, and to allow them to lead a more stable and comfortable life after menopause.

How IV NAD+ therapy can help relieve menopause symptoms

Whilst NAD+ IV therapy cannot get rid of all menopausal symptoms, it can help alleviate some to make the lengthy process that much more manageable.

NAD+ IV therapy can help to:

  • Increase cognitive function and memory
  • Improve energy levels
  • Improve sleep
  • Stabilise weight management
  • Increase skin elasticity
  • Improve mood

Research has found that women who consume a diet rich in antioxidants experience fewer symptoms of menopause, including hot flashes, sweating, sleep problems, anxiety, fatigue and brain fog. Antioxidants also help prevent major chronic diseases like heart disease and cancer, including breast cancer.

We include glutathione in many of our infusions which is one of the most powerful antioxidants out there. We also offer it as a stand alone glutathione injection to give you that little boost!
