5 spring rejuvenation self care tips

After a winter spent in lockdown, it’s not surprising many of us have entered into full hibernation mode. Staying inside, barely moving and eating for comfort is a lifestyle the entirety of the UK has adopted. But now, as spring is upon us, it’s time to shake off the cobwebs and look towards some type of rejuvenation. A “spring clean” of your current lifestyle may be just what your body and your mind is looking for to renew your energy for the warmer months. And if you’re unsure of where to begin, here are 5 spring rejuvenation self care tips for you to try.

Get outside for some fresh air

The days are getting longer now and the temperature is heating up so we’ve got no excuse not to get outside for a walk in the fresh air. A walk outside can be invigorating. You can breathe in the fresh spring air and listen to the sounds of nature as you set a brisk pace to rejuvenate your physical energy as well as your mind.

Drink more water

Every single one of us drinks less water throughout the winter without even realising it. We all remember to stay hydrated when the weather is hot and make a real conscious effort to up our water intake. But when it’s cold and dark outside, we instinctively reach for the coffee, tea, red wine and even a lovely warming whisky. So one of the first things we need to do as we head into spring is reach for the water. Increasing your water intake will help flush out toxins to “clean up” your system, while revitalising your energy as well.

Have a sugar detox

Research indicates that a high sugar intake increases your risk of cardiovascular disease, even if you are not overweight, and can even compromise brain function. Sugar sure is tasty, but unfortunately there is no nutritive value to table sugar or the high fructose corn syrup in so many processed foods. Removing sugar from your diet will help break that cycle of cravings and give you renewed, natural energy.

Set yourself a goal

Having a goal to work towards can be extremely beneficial to not only the mind but, if it’s a physical goal, the body too. Have you always wanted to run 10km or complete a triathlon? Maybe you’ve never mastered the front crawl? Or maybe it’s something as simple as finishing off a DIY project or a personal goal such as being more organised. Whatever it is, setting your mind to something and working towards a goal can energise you in a way you never thought possible.

Try IV infusions

If you really want to give your mind and body a boost this spring, you might consider an IV infusionIV infusions are designed to leave you feeling more energised, more mentally sharp and really on your A-game. Whether you’re looking to increase your energy levels, boost your immunity or you even want to improve your skin and hair, IV infusions can be used to help you achieve your goals.
