Hair loss, also known as androgenetic alopecia is likely caused by a combination of genetic and environmental factors and research continues to be ongoing. This type of hair loss can occur in both men and women but is more common and often more severe in men.
Some research suggests hair loss results from a shortening of the anagen phase in favour of the telogen phase of your hair cycle, an insufficient supply of nutrients, as well as an imbalance in the production of DHT (dihydrotestosterone) and an increased activation of the 5-alpha reductase enzyme. The Process

PRP (platelet-rich plasma) therapy for hair loss is a three-step medical treatment in which a person’s blood is drawn, processed, and then injected into the scalp.
Step 1
We desensiblise your scalp with a special anaesthological creme in the areas where the treatment will be performed.
Step 2
We draw 15 or 30 ml of your blood (depending on the area we want to treat) and put it into a centrifuge to separate the different parts of your blood.
Step 3
After about 10 minutes in the centrifuge, your blood will have separated into in three layers:
platelet-poor plasma
platelet-rich plasma
red blood cells
Step 4
We use the platelet-poor plasma, draw it up into a syringe and inject it into areas of the scalp that need increased hair growth and have been disinfected extensively beforehand. Additionally we also inject peptides and proteins in the same area as an accelerator of your hair growth..
PRP therapy for stimulating hair growth is a 100% endogenous therapy that takes several weeks to months until the regenerative effects are achieved. Due to the complexity of hair loss and through our experience, we strongly advise you to repeat the treatments two to four times (every 3-6 weeks).
PRP Hair Injection Aftercare
We advise you to wait at least 6 hours before you wash your hair and only use lukewarm water. It’s also recommended to avoid saunas and other heat influences for approximately 3-4 days or as long as swelling is still visible. In order to avoid swelling and headaches, we advise you to refrain from sporting and heavy physical activities as well as any upside down movements on the day of your treatment.
